Omg... he is passionate about his apostasy isn't he.....lol He THINKS he knows about JW AND WHAT THEY KNOW. that is 1. Funny and 2. Sad at the same time. If that is meant about me let me tell you that I read practically all the handouts the JW's give. We have a JW Kingdom Hall in town which has a group which stand in the precinct with a stand of leaflets. As I told you I have spent a lot of time debating with them and their leaders. I was even asked to one of their special services. I didn't go of course. So, yes, I know a fair bit of what the JW's believe. The Bible you read is not the original version. I believe I mentioned that the Hebrews did not chapters or verses or written vowels. Vowels were added by the masorettes in the first centuries of the first millenia CE. Chapters and verses much later in the 13th century CE. The world was completely different then, and unless you can understand and see that world with their eyes, you will never understand the REAL Bible. The Nativity story is a point in question. 2 contradictary stores and neither follow the laws - Jewish and Roman - of the day. In fact Jesus apparently ends up in Nazareth and Egypt at the same time accvording to the 2 stories. With Luke it is Nazareth ( 40 days after Jesus birth) With Matthew it is Egypt (until Herod the Great dies). Now that is a miracle. In fact it would have been quicker and safer to have gone to the Roman province of Syria than to the Roman Province of Egypt. Great stuff, Trev.. my daft piss taking pales into insignificance when compared to your much more factual stuff; all the same, a dedicated JW is well able to avoid inconvenient truths and carry on blundering forward regardless, especially if they've bin at it for some years, as after a while , people just carry on digging the same hole deeper, despite a big sign to one side saying 'dig here', instead. |

Holy Water reminds me of the time, many years ago, I was an organist in the village church. The local vicar was very keen on using 'holy water' when spraying a coffin during a funeral. The coffin was laid in the Chancel. The organ kevboard was also at the side of the chancel. When the vicar liberally sprayed the coffin he also sprayed my. Of course, I felt purified and cleansed. Well, some would say I was a big drip.
The JE's were in town this morning standing twiddling their thumbs while the world passed them by. One of the local non-conformist churches often has a stand in the Market, while another uses a loudspeaker on the High Street after their service on a Sunday. Instead of preaching some of the other churches become involved in helping the community in various ways. Practical Christianity.
