Don'r despise the folk that made Australia what it is today. Many of whom died for your country. Something JW's will not do. And don't tell me that others are like you. We are talking JW's. My father considered that defending his family and country were more important that any concientious objection. I was trained to do the same if necessary. It is not something taken lightly by most human beings but it is better than standing by and seeing your wife and children raped and killed by your enemy. Without fighting the Japanese would have been in control of your country and much of the Eastern world. and the Germans the Westrern world. War has been with us since our chimp ancestors fought each other for territory. Perhaps future generations will come to realise the futilty of war. The world has to stand up to tyranny is all its forms. There are 2 threats to this world not recognised by most people. 1. Islam. It claims that the world from the beginning was Islamic and the intention is to make it so. It has a hold in many countries and its fanatics kill and conquer where they can. 2. China. If you have studied the way China surreptitiously expands its influence you will have seen that they are lending to many countries. They are also providing countries with infrastructure of many types. It's great for those countries but they become indebted to China and often have no option but to concede to any Chinese demands. China's influence is slow but sure throughout the world - even in the USA's backyard - South America.. By this method they now have a Military base on the Horn of Africa - just a few miles from aUS Base. and could arrange to use other ports for refuelling and storage. It rents a port in Sri Lanka, It's building 2 ports in Israel and has a stake in 3 European ports. And operates a container port in Greece. Trumps withdrawal from the world into 'America first' was a win/win situation for China. Which is worse. Watching your family suffer, or to fight against evil? |
