No I just tried... Gort stole Gort whereas I invented the word caskur 19 years ago...

Are they harmful? is that a reason to vet applicants, do yer thnk? The bots are fairly harmless, they just scour the posts for keywords. Google bots store key content so that a Google search will work. I wouldn't be too worried by that. In my opinion, an open to applicants board is the best way to get new members. Of course you can always put back the registration barriers if unwelcome people start showing up. Then there is the "closed board" technique - which I reckon is unhelpful because you have to rely on friends of friends to recommend new people. |

thats good.. thats what I hoped... most people of course are welcome, even Caskur, tho by now she might be thinking otherwise( but only cos I bested her in some daft debate about god and the bibble, and Wompie neatly administered the coup de grace.  ..). Im not sure (yet?) what someone could do to get deleted.... all types of personal abuse and all manner of obscenities are fine by me( being myself guilty of both sins, now and then, whenever I run out of my rather limited vocabulary!  ). Proboards, tho, a short while back told me to delete a rather detailed pic of a shitty arse, which I thought illustrated some point or other rather well....Those puritanical Pilgrim Fathers who the Proboards team must be directly descended from, have a lot to answer for!! If the Mayflower had got a hole in it mid Atlantic, we might not have a lot of their nonsense nowadays! ha! |
